I really want to vote for some kind of bill. I think we should certainly do something about it. However. the great Jud*ciary Committee with its profundity of wisdom and abundance of brains can bring in a better bill than this. The Secretary of Labor. who has been derelict in the performance of her duty. had she deported many of these aliens in the past 8 years. we would not have congested courts today. and we would not have any excuse whatever for this bill that is before. this body now. But that is water over the dam and under the bridge. That damage has already been done.
