Today there is too much propaganda spread throughout the country in which certain groups are being attacked as unAmerican. especially those of alien birth. As a matter of fact. only a week ago some old. retired Army officers. on the pay roll of the Government. in convention. had the audacity and the nerve to pass a resolution to the effect that no person who happened to be born on the other side could hold public office. This is the type of organizations that have attacked people who happen to be naturalized citizens and who. I am sure. believe in the philosophy and the principles of our Government and would fight tomorrow If they were called upon to do so.
