I do not suppose the Senator from North Carolina contends that these aliens are entering the United States in violation of the immigration law. except that perhaps some of them are coming in on spurious passports. That. of course. is not the fault of the Immigration authorities at the port of New York or the port of San Francisco. nor is it the fault of the immigration authorities of the Department of Labor. It seems to me that if aliens are entering this country on false certificates or visas. it would be more than likely that such immigrants might be of the questionable variety. and that matter should be run down and investigated. A great many refugees are coming into this country on legal visas.
