Certainly not. I thank the Senator from Tennessee very much for his contribution by way of inquiries and observations. particularly for the reason that I know that. as Junior. Senator from Tennessee and an able representative of his State. he has for many years been interested In the question of immigration. To show that I am not biased. let me say that some of our outstanding. finest American citizens are naturalized Americans. There is no difference. as I have explained innumerable times on the floor of the Senate. between an American who is naturalized and one who is born here. I am simply trying by my feeble voice to bring to the attention of the American people the fact that of all times in the history of our country when we should take some action against permitting millions to come into this country from foreign shores. it Is now. Why?
