It is regrettable that Congress will only move to ascertain the truth or the untruth of such charges as have been made on the floor of the House from time to time when spurred into action by a suggestion from the Executive Mansion. The story to which the First Lady listened was not a new one. It was not a novel one. It was one which had been told on the House floor and in the press many times. Not as to migrants but as it affected members of unions. workingmen who were not members of a union. men who were on relief.
