Mr. Speaker. all of us who have been following this legislation appreciate that it is a very complicated matter. The Immigration Committee of the House for years has been struggling with the proposition of recodifying the nationality laws. and I believe that under the direction of my colleague. the gentleman from Kansas . and the other members of that committee. they have done a very fine job. We passed the bill here in the House after a good deal of discussion and it went to the Senate and they have added some very important amendments. The conferees have accepted some of theamendments and rejected others.
