I know how interested the members of the subcommittee are. Insofar as I am concerned. I say without hesitation that I am in lligh hope that the subcommittee will recommend to the full committee a favorable report on the bill for the deportation of Harry Bridges. It was passed by the House. I think Bridges should be deported. Of course. if it were left to the Department of Labor. where naturalization and immigration matters formerly rested. Bridges would never be deported. and In substantiation and proof of my assertion. just a few days ago I had inserted in the RECORD the names of 700 allen criminals who had been kept In this country by the Secretary of Labor. and who had been maintained by the American taxpayers. I hope that Bridges will be deported soon. He is a menace to this country. He is one of the termites that has been boring from within.
