Speaker. I merely wish to verify what the distinguished gentleman from Alabama has stated with reference to this bill. I may add that the Commissioner of Immigration. the Secretary of State. and the Attorney General had representatives at the conference and made certain suggestions. Those suggestions were adopted. and the bill as it is now drawn has the approval of the Secretary of State. the Attorney General. and the Commissioner of Immigration. The bill was redrafted in the Senate and put in much better form than the House bill. The only important change is the one which has already been alluded tW. the provision providing for the fingerprinting and registration of aliens in this country.
