I thank the Senator very much. for the reason that he has suggested to my mind an activity in which I shall indulge to the extent of immediately ascertaining from those in charge of the Department of Commerce and those in charge of every other branch of the Government whether or not any aliens. noncitizens. are employed by our Government today. I shall happily stand or fall upon the sworn testimony. if necessary. which I secure from the heads of the departments of the Government. I say to my distinguished colleagues who have honored me by these inquiries that I shall make an inquiry today. officially. in the proper form. and I shall be happy to report to the Senate the minute I am in receipt of the information.
