Session #76 · 1939–41

Speech #760115256

We ought to make it so clear that the Supreme Court cannot misunderstand what this Congress means about it. Let me read it to you. This is the present law: Any alien who at any time after entering the United States is found to have been at the time of entry or to have become thereafter. a member of any of the classes of aliens enumeratedNow. in the face of that language the Supreme Court held that a person who had resigned from that organization could not be deported.
