He had been recently ordained into the priesthood and was a member of a missionary order. He was ordered to Burma for missionary work. Just about that time he found out he was not a naturalized citizen. He always assumed he had been naturalized. in the belief that his father had become naturalized. The young man. just prior to leaving. with these mixed conditions existing. faced the loss of his right of naturalization and whatever rights he had by going abroad and doing his duty as a missionary. being away for several years performing his duty. Naturally. he responded to his duty. He came to me to find out what. if anything. could be done.
