Mr. President. in connection with that resolution I may in passing advise the Senate that it is my recollection that several weeks ago there was introduced in the House of Representatives a bill providing for the deportation of foreigners upon our shores who have been here for a period of 1 year and who within that time have not made application for American citizenship. I now send to the desk a resolution which was adopted by the -Senate of the State of Maryland in reference to this subject matter of interest to the American people. that is to say. relative to "isms" of the earth. restricted immigration. deportation of alien criminals. and so forth. I ask that the clerk read this resolution adopted by the Senate of the State of Maryland. In that connection.
