Session #76 · 1939–41

Speech #760006480

Why could they not wait until after specific recommendations were made by the committee? Why did not the committee bring in a report and give the Congress of the United States an opportunity to go to work and rid this country of unAmerican agitators? I could have pointed out to the committee that there are thousands of spies In this country today. if they had wanted to find something really significant. Why did they not examine intQ and recommend the deportation of other agitators in this country? Why did they focus their whole attention on the Bridges case? Is there anyone here to answer that question?
