Already many times the Japanese have bombed from the air the city of Canton. which is only about 70 miles from Hong Kong. and thousands upon thousands of refugees are trickling down to and onto the island of Hong Kong. The British have been expecting this for a long time. They knew that the day would come when they would have trouble over there.
