The committee plan proposes to increase the price of cotton all over the world every time it increases the price of American cotton. Every time a dollar is added to the income of the cotton farmer in Georgia by this program it will increase the income of the cotton farmer in Brazil. the coolie in China. and the regimented labor of Russia. I am not interested in increasing the income of any farmer outside of the United States. The substitute proposes to help the cotton farmer of America by establishing the twoprice system here. and whether it is accepted today or later.
