The gentleman from North Carolina has correctly stated the situation from that angle. I think four bills were reported out of the committee. but at least three were reported out. One has become law. As a result of our investigation. valuable information from an immigration angle was obtained. and became the basis of legislative consideration by the Committee on Immigration and Naturalization. One bill is now pending before the Committee on Foreign Affairs. This committee. however. has been exceedingly busy with important legislation. and I have refrained from asking them for a hearing. because I appreciated the fact that the committee was so busy.
