From Hawaii. sirs. the step easily is afforded to the Pacific coast. To avoid the danger to the Pacific coast under the assault. a form of concession and reprisal would be at once naturally -asked by the victors of the United States. That concession would be that we yield up our opposition under our present immigration laws and repeal our exclusion laws. then the * demand that Asiatics be placed on an equality of citizenship in the United States with citizens of the United States and with American citizens anywhere in the world. Mr. President. as to that measure of embarrassment we may say we will meet it when it arises and treat with it when it is upon us.
