I may say to the gentleman the Committee on Immigration. the Committee on UnAmerican Activities. the majority of the membership of this House. as well as the Department of Labor and all departments that have been called in. feel it is a most vital piece of legislation for the protection of Americans. This does not interfere with our people. Let us take a specific case. A man applies to an American consul for permission to visit this country. He has no more business visiting this country than I have visiting Germany. He comes here for the sole purpose of trying to promote another loan from this Government.
