I had hoped there would be a separation. whereby the pending bill would be acted on and then the Senator would bring in his bill dealing with the other matters. Personally. as one of the members of the Immigration Committee. I am quite In accord with those three suggestions. and I am wondering if we possibly have not arrived at a point where the Senator can permit us to proceed with the pending bill. and then we will take. up those three phases of the Senators bill and get all this proposed legislation out of the Senate and over to the House and have it enacted.
