The gentleman from Kentucky and I just do not see eye to eye on this matter. This is not a question of what our future policy shall be. It is a question of whether we are going to dismember these families at the present time. and you can put it on the line that the Commissioner General is going to send these people out unless the Congress takes some action. This action may very well be embodied in a bill that is in the committee at the present time. but which has not been reported out because of an adverse report. moreover. what good would it do to bring it out on the floor if every immigration bill and every naturalization bill. just because it has the name of being an immigration bill or a naturalization bill. is going to have its head chopped off when it comes before the House for unanimousconsent consideration?
