I further reserve the right to object and would like to make the statement. if I may. that I think this is a very important bill. The principle involved is. far more important than the inconvenience that may result to any one individual. The immigration law is different from any other law with which we have to deal. For instance. most of our laws deal with American citizens An American citizen has rights under our law. He has recognizable rights. but an alien or a foreigner who has not yet arrived in our country has no such rights under our law.
