Mr. Chairman. as a member of the Immigration Committee. let me say that my experience on this immigration question started back at a time when I was a member of the Legislature of Pennsylvania. I was directed to inquire into the number of unnaturalized foreigners quartered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. I made an investigation at that time and reported 50.000. I introduced and there was also passed and now in operation in the State of Pennsylvania. also New York. as well as in Michigan and Minnesota. a law providing for the deportation of unnaturalized foreigners. Mr. Chairman. I want to warn the Members of the House right here and now. and particularly those Members who are being entrapped in this insidious propaganda coming here from New York in the shape of Members of Congress who are right before me.
