Of the foreignborn Mexicans 348.782 were males and 268.216 were females. In 1900 there were about 103.345 Mexicans residing in the United States. While we have no definite figures we may assume that half of them were foreign born and half of them were native born. If we deduct 51.500. being the number of nativeborn Mexicans residing in the United States in 1900. from the 805.535 nativeborn Mexicans residing in the United States in 1930. we have 754.035 Mexicans who were born in this country from 1900 to 1930. The parents of these 754.035 nativeborn Mexicans were either foreign born or native born. Most of the parents must have been foreign born. because there were 698.146 nativeborn Mexicans who range in ages from infancy to 29 years of age. and who were born between 1900 and 1930. Five hundred and fiftytwo thousand four hundred and eighty of such nativeborn Mexicans were born since 1920. This is proven by your 1920 census. which shows that there were 252.045 nativeborn Mexicans in the United States at that time.
