I decline to yield. as I have only a few seconds left. I respectfully submit. Mr. Chairman. that we in America should adhere to the fundamental principles laid down in the first 10 amendments of the Constitution of the United States. Our progress. our very civilization. is based on freedom of speech. freedom of thought. freedom of the press. and freedom of religion. and for this reason I am opposed to deporting anybody. irrespective of what they may preach. I further submit that. in taking this position. I am just as good an American as the gentleman from Texas. if not better.
