Session #74 · 1935–37

Speech #740021228

DicxSTEIN] on notice now that tomorrow is the thirtieth legislative day of this Congress. After tomorrow petitions may be filed to discharge committees. Day after tomorrow I am going to file at the Clerks desk a petition to take my bill. which will stop immigration to this country for 10 years. from his committee. If we can pass this bill it will give us a chance to assimilate the foreigners that we already have before we let others come in. This will give us a chance to retake American jobs and redistribute them from foreigners back to American unemployed citizens.
