Mr. Speaker. may I say this to the House in all sincerity: The Committee on Immigration and Naturalization worked day and night to check the statistics in various communities. We are not trying to insult the Filipino people. They indicated to us. as a voluntary statement. to the effect that they want to go back. They want to go home. They are stranded. If we cannot feed them. then let them go home. It is worth to the Government a million dollars in the way of releasing jobs to American citizens. What did our committee do in relation to this bill?
