Mr. Speaker. I have been a member of the subcommittee handling appropriations for the Department of Labor for many years. and regret that I cannot support this resolution which the Chairman of the Immigration Committee has brought before the House. In my opinion. it would be a useless expenditure of money. I concur in the statement just made by the gentleman from Missouri when he suggested that there was no need for this inquiry. because if the gentleman from New York has knowledge of facts which he feels justifies legislation at this time. he should report that legislation to the House.
