Mr. Speaker. I think it is the duty of every Member of this House to cooperate in a program to pass this bill to which the Committee on Immigration and Naturalization has given careful study. by which we can. on their voluntary request. dispose of over 30.000 Filipinos who are roaming throughout the United States. most of them without homes. some of them in jail. most of them having been out of work for 2 or 3 years. They are taking jobs away from Americans whenever they can find jobs because they will work for any price at any time. day or night. The Philippine Commissioner has indicated to the Committee on Immigration that at least 30.000 of these Filipinos. if given an opportunity to get on Government transports. are ready to leave the United States and go back to their home land.
