The proud spirit of America is their armor. To those without funds who are seeking relief. prices mean very little. Cutthroat prices mean the destruction of buying power. they mean that investors receive no return upon their money. and that employers and workers incomes are reduced to such a low state that those gainfully employed are unable to help those who are unemployed. To continue cutthroat competition until prices reach European and Asiatic levels will mean that the buying power of the gainfully employed in America will be on the same basis as in Europe and the Orient. Mr. President. let us face the facts.
