I want to commend my colleague from Texas for introducing this bill and getting it favorably reported by the committee. He is doing some valuable work. and I want to hand him a bouquet of flowers for it. I am sorry that the committee could not see its way clear to reporting out my bill to suspend all immigration for five years. We should stop it all for at least five years. Then we would have an opportunity to assimilate the ones we have here and for Americans to find employment again. for positions now are gobbled up by many foreigners who have come here.
