Reserving the right to object. when the gentleman last made his request I had not 11 d time to examine the various amendments. I have since examined them and find that they were given very little consideration in the Senate. I have no objection to the amendments except the amendment known as section 8. which seeks to authorize the Bureau of Naturalization to compile statistics which belong to the Bureau of the Census. I simply wish to state my position. It is that amendment that is objectionable. because the expense may run into thousands of dollars. I am willing to agree to all except section 8.
