I just want to say for the RECORD that I have had petitions and resolutions from all of the patriotic organizations of my State. and from practically every organizedlabor council in my State. in behalf of this measure. In addition to that. I have had a large number of communications. by *wire and letter. from patriotic people in Florida. generally speaking. who believe in restricted immigration and who believe that we should at this time do all we can in the interest of American laborers. that we owe our first duty to American labor. and that we should restrict foreign immigration to this country. I wish to make acknowledgment in the RECORD of all those petitions and resolutions which I have received from the State of Florida. It has also been brought to my attention by the labor organizations of my State that the American Federation of Labor at some recent convention unanimously indorsed this joint resolution.
