I am in thorough agreement with the gentleman about deporting these people who are in this country unlawfully. and I raised that question before the Rules Committee the other day on the matter of a rule for a new immigration bill. I made the observation that it seemed to me that to relieve this labor situation instead of further restricting immigration to a minimum it would be much more effective to deport from 500.000 to 1.000.000 aliens here unlawfully. and the answer was that while that was something that ought to be done. we were unable to get the funds out of the Appropriations Committee with which to do it. is that true?
