An act to establish a Federal Farm Board to promote the effective merchandising of agricultural commodities in interstate and foreign commerce and to place agriculture on a basis of economic equality with other industries. This bill proposed to do for the farmers what was done for other industries by the enactment of the Federal. reserve act. the Adamson Act. the restricted immigration act. and the many acts extending aid to numerous other activities. To promote the agriculture of the United States by expanding in the foreign field the service now rendered by the United States Department of Agriculture in acquiring and diffusing useful information regarding agriculture. and for other purposes.
