I will say that I have never been in favor of the nationalorigins clause. It is responsible for the large quota from England. I will vote for its repeal. I will vote right now to reduce all immigration 50 per cent. There is another important question I would like to touch on. That is. the amount of money now being sent abroad by citizens of this country for the upkeep of tteir old parents. I think it advisable for the Committee on Immnigration to learn from the big banking houses how many millions are sent abroad monthly for this purpose.
