There are about 5.000 miles of border to be served by the border patrol. In view of the results accomplished by this small. insignificant force that we already have in its turning back 79.000 aliens in three years who were unlawfully attempting to enter the United States. it seems to me that such result would warrant the attempt. and especially in view of the recommendations of all these various departments. these men who have been dealing with immigration for years. it seems to me that we are warranted in acting on their judgment. The urgent need for this legislation has been clearly shown. What is proposed by this bill?
