I do. but I wish. first of all. to state that I have endeavored to reach an agreement concerning Senate bill 202 with the Senator from Connecticut . who is opposing it. He finds it impossible to enter into an agreement concerning the final disposition of the bill at any time. Therefore I feel that I am justified in moving that the Senate proceed to the consideration of the motion entered by the junior Senator from Maine on April 16. 1930. to reconsider the votes by which the bill to provide for the deportation of certain .alien seamen. and for other purposes. was ordered to a third reading. read the third time. and passed.
