Congress. however. in passing the Cable Act evidently felt that if citizenship was worth reacquiring the married woman herself ought to make some move to reacquire it. It therefore expressly stipulated that the mere passage of the act itself should neither terminate citizenship acquired nor restore citizenship lost. It provided that the woman herself must comply with all the requirements of the naturalization laws willi the exception of a declaration of intention and the 5year period of residence requirement. for which the period of one years residence was substituted. When the woman herself has complied with the terms of the Cable Act it is our view that the Congress intended that the citizenship of which she had been unjustly deprived should be restored to her.
