Session #71 · 1929–31

Speech #710209725

Go look at Mexico. with a large portion of her population mixed with negroes and Indians and other peoples. and what have you? A strange mixture of people and strife all the time. easily led by designing priests. the people fleeced of their substance year in and year out. Go look at Spain. once proudest among all the nations of the earth. with her mixed population. brought in under the Roman Catholic doctrine of open and unrestricted immigration. bringing them in from everywhere to build a mighty Roman monarchy. You have a mixed breed and a population which brought Spain down from the high pinnacle of her former glory. There is a concrete case of such a mistaken policy.
