We can not deny them their rights legally acquired. I would impress upon the Senate that we now have grave social and economic problems growing out of these mixed and different races already here in the United States. I would deal with them all justly. giving to everyone. whether he be white or black. copper or other colored. native or naturalized. his and her rights under the Constitution and the law. I wish to Impress upon the Senate and the country that it is our first and paramount duty to take care of. guard. protect. the rights of all who are now lawfully in the United States. I am not thinking of today only.
