Mr. President. the Senator from Washington must also concede that many who come from Canada would not be quota immigrants. Therefore there is not the slightest danger of anything happening such as he anticipates. The House report correctly states the fact that there is absolutely no cause to fear any greater interference with coming and going across the Canadian border than now exists. That. it seems to me. disposes of the "redtape" argument so far as it applies to opposition to this bill. Now we come to the point so well emphasized by the Senator from California . The Senate must choose between these two measures.
