After four years of striving and pounding at the doors of the Republican administration. with immigrants here asking to be allowed to put their arms around their loving fathers. mothers. and children. then. and only grudgIugly. did the Republican administration give us the socalled Jenkins bill. effect about. June 1. 1928. We asked for bread and were given a stone.
