Under leave to extend my remarks. I add the constitutional provisions of California and Arizona. and the laws of Nevada. California. and Arizona in regard to employment of alien labor on State works. NEVADA Revised Laws. 1919. Employment of labor on public works. aliens. section 1 (as amended 1921. ch. 129) . who may be employed: Only citizens or wards of the United States or persons who have been honorably discharged from the military service of the United States shall be employed by any officer of the State of Nevada. or by any contractor with the State of Nevada. or by any political subdivision of the State. or by aly person acting under or for such offices or contractor. in the construction of public works. or in any office or departInent of the State of Nevada. or political subdivision of the State. or department of the State of Nevada. or political subdivision of the State. and in all cases where persons are so employed. preference shall be given to honorably discharged soldiers. sailors. and marines of the United States and to citizens of Nevada: Provided.
