Speech #700113596

Thank you. I desire to say. at the outset. that when I was first elected to Congress I advocated prohibiting all immigration. I still feel that way about the matter of immigration. I am supporting Judge Boxs bill wholeheartedly. I know I voice the sentiment of the majority of the citizens. not only in my district but In the great State of Texas. when I say they indorse the Box bill. The only opposition to it that I know anything about conies from that class. small in numbers. who are farming by proxythat is. who do not till the soil themselves. but have.their land cultivated by cheap Mexican labor. * * * * I want to give you an extract from a letter which I have received from Mr.
