In some countries. like Great Britain or Germany. it would take a short time. but in all the other countries it takes many years before an American woman can have the privilege of bringing in her husband under a preference quota. I do not know of any reason why an American citizen. either man or woman. should not have the same rights. and the law should be amended accordingly. If we would only give this matter a little more study. without heat or animosity or discrimination along the policy of immigration. I am sure we could solve the problem as Americans.
