Mr. Chairman. the two gentlemen who have preceded me have spoken. one of national origins and the other of Colonel Lindbergh. I would like to say a few words on both subjects. information that the Senate has just passed a joint resolution (S. J. Res. 113) postponing for one year the application of the nationalorigins provision in the present immigration act. Mr. Chairman. I am mindful of the rules of the House which forbid criticism of the upper body of Congress. and I shall conform to that rule. But this I do say: If this House shall adopt a similar resolution. or the same resolution. its Members who are responsible for that action will be guilty of the most cowardly act performed during the present administration.
