I introduce a bill prolosing amn amendment to the immigration law. together With a brief explanation of the purpose of tin amendment. and ask that it may be printed in the RECORD and referred to the Committee on Immigration. The bill to anend the immigration act of 1924. as amended. in respect of nonquota immigrants. was read twice by its title. referred to the Committee on Immigration. and. with the accompanying statement. ordered to be printed in the RECORD. aS follows: Be it enacted. etc.. That subdivision (a) of section 4 of the immigration act of 1924. as amended. is amended to read as follows: "(a) An immigrant who is the unmarried child under 1 years of age. the father. the mother. or the wife. of a citizen of the United States who resides therein at the time of the filing of a petition under section 0."
