Session #69 · 1925–27

Speech #690241968

Well. that may be the gentlemans opinion. I want to. say to the House that if the gentleman will let this matter go over I can assure him that we will get together and. work out the matter before the next session of the Congress in such a way that it will.be absolutely satisfactory. but I can not afford at this time under the circumstances and knowing the agreement that was madeand I supported the gentleman and -his committee in favor of restricted immigrationto sit idly by at this late hour of the session and not protest against changing the law to the detriment of our section of the country.
