Mr. President. a day or two ago there occurred a very great outrage near Fort Pierce. Fla. A good citizen. attending to his business in an orderly way. was killed by some Federal agents who were attempting to enforce. I suppose. the immigration law. They met him on the highway. and he was ordered to stop. Supposing ihat they were holdup men or something of the kind. he refused to stop. whereupon they pursued him. shot into his car. and killed him.
