Mr. Chairman and gentlemen of the committee. today the Washington Post carried a dispatch from the city of New York stating that exiled priests from Mexico were herded among pigs on a ship. The refugees who arrived at the part of New York yesterday stated that they were taken from their homes without a chance to take any of their possessions with them and were herded on shipboard and deported from. the country. Mr. Chairman and gentlemen. the time for temporizing with the present Mexican Government has passed. When an outlaw points a pistol at your head you do not argue with him.
